Not to be arrogant,but I’m a little more advanced than this stage.I’ve been play’in since the age of nine. Although he is completely right.Mix’in it up like that will help from feel’in like you’re do’in a thankless job,but you’ve also got to be careful not to get carried away & not listen to what you’re adding, cause to much canbe worse than nothing or to little.Don’t mean ta ramble on people.KEEP ON PRACTICING & YOU”LL BE BLOW’IN EM AWAY!!!Peace Out………..

There He is again 4 fretts from the 12th
for Any Rhythm the Mid-Range is about 7 ‘fretts down from the Octave. Is it just because the Upper fretts are too far apart? “Same Ole Same ole”.

Sorry to burst your bubble bud but how long youve been playing does not determine how skilled you are at the guitar. you can play for 30 years and suck ass. sol has be playing for somewhere around 6 years and is better than 90% of the players that have 30 years under there belt

Have you thought of filming over the guitarist’s shoulder, the way the chords look to a player, rather than to the audience? Just a beginner and having a hard time translating what I’m seeing to what I play. Or as Al said, tabs, or have Sol mention the name of the chord…

You can try pausing, also rewinding and reviewing the parts on the DVD you are learning. It’s what teachers call studying and it’s worked for me in dealing with the same problem.
