Sol if you’re trying to impress, you have done it. I believe you can smoke a guitar but your teaching ability’s need to be honed. Stick to the lesson, slow down and sow the fingering. An advanced player probably already knows it or picks it up quickly. Us old or young learners need more time and patients. Keep up the good work though.
I reckon this might just be one of the best blues/guitar instruction dvds I’ve ever seen. If this stuff is tabbed out, and the rest is of the same level of quality and clarity – you’ve got a winner.
Sol, I’m dead impressed – and no folks – I’m not on Claude’s marketing team!
Based only on this clip (as you may have covered this in prior videos) I have this thought. Instead of relating these shapes to open position chords, why not also demonstrate them as triadic arpeggios and/or part of the major triad inversions series? At 3 inversions per set of 3 strings, one need only learn 12 shapes that can be played up and down the neck as well as connected and played accross the neck either as single note arpeggios, full triads, or chord fragments (or all combinations at once). This approach opens up the neck visually and improves chord knowledge over and above learning “licks”.
Stop it sol its driving me nuts your going to fast Im still the first lesson ! You bring it over very chidlike feeding us all, milk .. This teaching covers all grades…The Teacher learning by simply , Teaching.. justdavid.. Ps, Where can we get your dvd when it comes out and the price .. best regards sol..
dig it.i love this style of playing and you have explained it very well. one thing that would make these examples even better than they already are is if you could have tab to accompany the examples as well? i know it most likely comes with the full course but it would be great just for these clips as well. anyway just a suggestion.thanks for keeping me in the loop i always love and look forward to these great emails – keep up the great work!!
this is one of the best instruction guitar lessons I’ve ever seen, this is a must have to learn guitar,Sol is a gifted musician, God bless him and I wish him the best success for the rest of his life! Thanks
